Established in 1963 by Augusto Pigni, the company Litocartotecnica Pigni , born as a small typography, moved over the years to the packaging production.At the beginning the main customer target was focused on the textile firms placed in Varese. At a later stage the company invested on the big format, thus heading to new sectors: food and cosmetics, and Para pharmaceutical as well as general packaging.The focus on quality, innovation and on the customer, service has strengthened the company position on the market. It is now a strong reference point for a vast clientele. The packaging produced by Litocartotecnica Pigni is functional, high-quality and complies with the regulations in force for the food safety. In order to prove its high professional skills, Litocartotecnica Pigni achieved the ISO 9000 Quality Certification in 1997. In 2002 it converted its procedures according to the VISION 2000 Regulation. Moreover, at the beginning of 2010 the company achieved the UNI EN ISO 22000:2005 Certification by the CSI Association for the Design and Production of primary and secondary printed packaging made of cardboard for the food industry. In 2016 the BRC Certification was implemented, confirmed with AA Rating.In 2014 Litocartotecnica Pigni achieved the FSC Certification and in 2019 the PEFC. The achievements of the last few years are the outcome of a successful strategy focused on product quality and customer satisfaction. Litocartotecnica Pigni is one of the few Italian companies producing packaging through the "thermoforming" technology, used especially for cakes packs in special occasions.LITOCARTOTECNICA Pigni is able to provide small and big quantities, design, pre-press logistic services one for the finished product. In 2014 Litocartotecnica created its own brand Ginkgo Collection in order to produce gift boxes, and others cardboard objects with a new design.LITOCARTOTECNICA Pigni can count on an extremely efficiency and an highly advanced technological expertise. All the employees are specialised in converting cardboard, motivated and stimulated by tailor-made growth plans. The Company handles internally the whole paper industry cycle.Litocartotecnica Pigni is also equipped with a mechanical workshop in order to follow the customer in the aftermarket phase. The executive roles are carried out by the Family Pigni.The turnover is mainly generated on the Italian market and 25% on foreign markets. Over the years sales and production volume has increased significantly.The company is placed in Gorla Maggiore close to Milano and counts two plants, one of 5.000 mq2 and a new building of 14.000 mq2.
